Socket Connection Installation Procedure
1. Pre-installation Check:Before connecting the socket, ensure that the rubber ring is properly matched and in good condition. Confirm the correct placement of the rubber ring and verify the required insertion depth of the spigot.
2. Joint Preparation:Clean the inner wall of the socket thoroughly. Apply lubricant to both the inner wall of the socket and the rubber ring on the spigot. Align the center axis of the spigot end with the socket opening.
3. Insertion Process:For pipes with diameters of DN400 or below, one worker should suspend the spigot end of the pipe using a cotton rope, while another inserts a long pry bar diagonally into the base. Push against the crossbar at the center of the spigot end and steadily insert the pipe into the socket of the pre-installed PE double-wall corrugated pipe until it reaches the designated position.
For pipes with diameters above DN400, two hand chain hoists should be used to pull and position the pipe segment. During the jointing process, both hoists on either side of the pipe must be operated simultaneously to ensure the rubber sealing ring is properly seated—without twisting or displacement.
