The South African delegation visited the DAYU Irrigation Group to jointly explore new opportunities for Sino-African cooperation in smart agriculture and water resource management.
On October 17, a delegation from South Africa visited the DAYU Irrigation Group to conduct an in-depth inspection and exchange on innovative practices in smart agriculture, efficient water resource utilization, and sustainable agricultural development. This visit lays a solid foundation for deepening Sino-South African agricultural technology cooperation and expanding practical areas of China-Africa collaboration, serving as a vivid example of mutual learning and exchange in trade, economy, and technology between China and Africa in the new era.

01 On-site Visit
At the Tianjin headquarters, the delegation followed the group’s comprehensive industry-chain research route, visiting sequentially the cultural exhibition hall, the Water Management Operations and Dispatch Center, the smart greenhouse, the drip irrigation equipment production workshop, the acoustic-based cloud-seeding technology workshop, as well as the demonstration area showcasing modernized irrigation management models and the gate manufacturing workshop. Through hands-on observation of the intelligent irrigation equipment R&D and production process, and by deeply experiencing the integrated application scenarios of "smart water management + modern agriculture," the delegation gained a systematic understanding of DAYU Irrigation’s core strengths in areas such as water-saving technology innovation, intelligent equipment manufacturing, and full-chain agricultural services. They highly praised the group’s practical achievements in leveraging technological innovation to address agricultural water resource challenges and drive the transformation and upgrading of agricultural production methods. In particular, the delegation paid close attention to how well the technical solutions align with South Africa’s local agricultural development needs, clearly outlining the direction for future collaboration between the two sides.
