This year’s conference focused on… “ The integration of humanities and technology ushers in a new era of smart agriculture. ” Focusing on the theme of the deep integration and innovative application of digital technologies in tropical agricultural cultivation, the conference brought together Yunding Group and Dayu Irrigation A strategic cooperation agreement on global agricultural irrigation was officially signed, with senior executives from both sides jointly attending and witnessing the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, Dato’ Lim Kong Hui, Group CEO of Genting Plantations, and Cui Jing, Senior Vice President of Dayu Water-Saving Group, as the representative of both parties. An agreement was signed, with Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Executive Chairman of Genting Group, attending as a key guest. The core management team of Genting Plantations and the international business and technology teams of Dayu Irrigation also participated, and both parties reached consensus on long-term cooperation. Under the agreement, Genting Group and Dayu Water Saving will establish a long-term strategic partnership. Leveraging Genting’s extensive plantation network across Malaysia, Indonesia, and several Southeast Asian countries, they will focus on tropical cash crops such as oil palm, advancing in-depth collaboration in smart irrigation, fertigation, and agricultural digitalization services to develop highly efficient water‑saving and intelligent management solutions tailored to tropical farming environments. Concurrently, Genting Group has also expressed intent to partner with leading domestic technology brands in the drone, satellite, and robotics sectors, jointly exploring pathways for end-to-end upgrades in agricultural technology.

This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone for both parties in the field of smart agriculture. For Yunteng Plantations, the collaboration will leverage Dayu Water Saving’s advanced irrigation technologies and digital management capabilities to enhance resource‑use efficiency across its plantations, reinforce its leading position in Southeast Asia’s palm oil industry, and drive the transition from conventional farming to smart agriculture. For Dayu Irrigation, the partnership will capitalize on Yunteng Group’s global industrial ecosystem to swiftly enter the high‑end agricultural client base in Southeast Asia, establish a benchmark case for international smart‑agriculture irrigation, and accelerate its global market expansion.
